Memorial Day

This morning I heard poet, Maya Angelou read portions of letters that soldiers, stationed in Iraq had written to their mothers, wives, and children They had died in Iraq and the reading was in conjunction with the Legacy Foundation she was representing. I marveled that she read those words without her voice cracking. I would not have been able to. To hear their dedication, their idealism and to know that their heroic sacrifice occurred because of this Administration’s Folly (in Iraq) makes me feel sadder.

This is the 5th Memorial Day that we Honor those who died in Iraq and we Pray for the safe return for those who are still there.

Welcome to this new site where I encourage all comments and opinions. As a Centrist I will probably have differing views from those who are either more liberal or conservative–and that is fine. I would hope that I would a good logical argument as to why the person would disagree with me.

After all, we are here to learn from each other .

Thank you

A Note About Politics

I have listened to Talk Radio consistently since the early 1980’s and the Los Angeles market has become more and more conservative, partly because mega corporations have bought the larger stations. There’s nothing wrong with that in itself, but the moderate, thinking Talk Show Hosts have been replaced with the “Independents” who reveal their “true colors” when you listen to them.

I’m a Centrist, someone who believes in balanced policies, moderate in nature, holistic in perspective, which is fair for all peoples—business and wage earners.

There is hypocrisy of enormous proportions. Americans need to become informed then by our current crop of Radio Hosts
